We have a passion to see people achieve their true potential; therefore Southernmost Foundation provides cycling related programs and events to motivate children to rise above their daily circumstances to successfully handle all challenges in life.
To introduce cycling as a peaceful and uplifting lifestyle in an educational manner to young people in order to achieve their true potential and arm them with strong Christian beliefs to successfully handle all challenges in life.

To place emphasis on practising both cycling and personal skills development in order to achieve a good sense of pride, self-belief and accomplishment
SMF Events grew out of the Southernmost Foundation. Our passion is to promote cycling as a whole and to create challenging accredited cycling events. Our wider vision is to show case the local region as an ideal destination for major sporting events of all kinds.
Our aim is to inspire and to build local bike/hiking/running trails for the public and to highlight the health and economic benefits to all. There is already a trail permit scheme in place, to help protect the environment and to keep the trails maintained, but this needs far more awareness and stricter control.
One of our aims is to make more marked public trails in Napier of various levels for the hikers/cyclists. SMF Events also wish to be able to, through acquiring like minded sponsors to donate kit and training to local established sports teams such as local rugby and cricket clubs, through the success of coordinating and planning the sports events we organize.
We are also open to many other initiatives to help inspire and train those who are from the poorer communities to be able to compete in these events. SMF has initiated and engaged in numerous outreach programmes over the years. SMF Events has the experience and expertise in organizing sporting events, creating memorable sporting events for the past 7 years.
To experience our races, you can enter the Napier Wine & Patatfees MTB Race, Trail Run or Napier Half Marathon on June 15th, 2019 and the Cape Agulhas Classic on December 27th & 28th, 2019.
